Be Aware for Safe Care
“We view the week as an opportunity to educate, reinforce, and most of all, thank all staff for their work in helping CRH advance its patient safety efforts,” stated Teena Dominie, RN MSN, Director of Quality Management. CRH continually strives to focus on providing a culture of safety for the patients and guests at the hospital. CRH staff has participated in many initiatives that create a focus about the importance of patient safety.
With the recognition of National Patient Safety Week, CRH is celebrating its commitment to delivering high quality, safe patient care by sponsoring a number of educational activities as well as displaying patient safety information. Most of the hospital’s departments have created a display board to showcase a patient safety initiative staff has taken part in. The boards will be on display throughout the lobby area of the Hospital. CRH staff will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of patient safety education sessions and guest speaker lectures. There are also fun activities planned including the “Room of Doom” which entails a patient room set up with a variety of safety issues for staff to try and identify.
