| The Food and Nutrition Services Department provides both food production and clinical nutrition services.
The Food Services Director is a Certified Dietary Manager and Certified Food Protection Professional. The Food Services Director is responsible for food services production and staff. |
The Food and Nutrition Services Department is staffed from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. Meals are available in the cafeteria for staff and visitors 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Food and Nutrition Services Department provides meals to patients and outpatients according to physician's orders with emphasis on age, food preferences, and satisfaction. Clinical Nutrition Services are provided by a Registered Dietitian and a Licensed Diet Technician. |
Clinical Nutrition Services that are provided include screening for nutritional risk, nutritional assessments, monitoring/evaluation of nutritional care, patient diet instructions and education, and staff in services. Food Services Supervisors assist with patient menus selections, meal rounds, and nutritional screening.
A Registered/Licensed Dietitian provides outpatient diet counseling by physician referral. The Dietitian also provides consultation services to nursing homes, assisted living center, home health agency, and Health Care Clinics, as well as serving as a nutritional resource for the community.
