Meet Our New Speech Therapist
Calais Regional Hospital is pleased to welcome our new Speech Therapist, Susannah Martinez, M.S., CCC-SLP. With the addition of Ms. Martinez CRH will be able to expand the availability of Speech Therapy Services in the community. Ms. Martinez has a background in deaf education, dyslexia remediation and early intervention. She is experienced in the use of sign language for the deaf and alternative communication systems.
Many areas of communication can benefit from speech therapy services. Issues that may be addressed through this program include: memory function, speech production, communication issues, children’s issues, feeding and swallowing. The speech therapy program can assist a wide variety of patients with effective and functional communication. Speech therapists are also utilized as a referral source for associated, beneficial patient services.
