Calais Regional Hospital Announces New Board Chair
Linda Gralenski of Pembroke has been elected Chair of the Calais Regional Hospital Board of Directors. Mrs. Gralenski has served on the hospital’s Board of Directors since 1996, most recently serving as Vice Chair, and been a Trustee since 1993.
Mrs. Gralenski has served on various hospital committees, including Quality Assurance, Home Health Advisory, Community Relations, Joint Conference and Executive. She has represented the Board at Medical Staff meetings as well as being a past representative of the Maine Health Alliance.
“Linda brings a deep commitment to the local community and region and through years of prior service, a great knowledge of the hospital and the issues we face,” states Ray H. Davis, Jr., CEO of Calais Regional Hospital.
In addition to her service at Calais Regional, Linda has devoted countless hours to other organizations including Hospice and the St. Croix Valley International Garden Club, being a past president of both organizations. She is also an active member of the Pembroke United Methodist Church where she serves on the Administrative Council and a volunteer at the Pembroke Library. In her limited spare time, she enjoys bird watching, hiking, choral singing, gardening and traveling. Linda has been a resident of Pembroke for 20 years with her husband Frederick.
Linda replaces Dennis Mahar as Board Chair. Dennis joined the Board of Directors in April of 1988 and assumed the role of Chair in 1997. He has been a Hospital Trustee since 1987. Dennis will continue to contribute his time to the hospital as a member of the Board of Directors and Trustees.
