Bangor Savings Bank recently donated stuffed animals to Calais Regional Hospital’s Teddy Bear drive for the emergency department.  Bangor Savings Bank Calais Branch Manager Bonnie Smith read about the drive in the CRH newsletter.  “I knew it was something the Bangor Savings Bank would be able to help out with and ran it by my Regional Manager, Rose White.  She thought all of the Downeast Branches would like to participate so she put the word out,” explained Ms. Smith.  The Teddy Bears donated are from the Castine, Ellsworth, Jonesport, Machias, Eastport and Calais branches. Each staff member purchased a Teddy Bear of their choice and sent them all to the Calais branch to be presented to the hospital. Ms. Smith added, “We’re very happy to be a part of making children a little more comfortable in what is usually an uncomfortable situation.”
