Diabetes Support Group
The Calais Regional Hospital Diabetic Education and Support Group meets monthly from March through November. The group provides persons diagnosed with diabetes the opportunity to increase their understanding of diabetes so they may better deal with all the issues related to the disease. Meetings are held in Eastport at the Eastport Healthcenter on the second Monday of each month, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. and at the Dietitians Office at the Calais Regional Hospital Health Services Building in Calais on the third Wednesday of each month, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. The groups are facilitated by Mona Van Wart, registered/licensed dietitian.
